And a library it is! Whitledge-Burgess created an Elegant Paneled Library back around 2006. I have enjoyed looking at this library in the magazine and wanted to make it. Time got away from me but since the world has slowed down I’ve been able to get this project going. I don’t think it was just time I think it was also deciding on what would this library look like.
After being asked, I don’t know how many times if I had a setting for a petitpoint rug that I had stitched called the Aunt Olga. It finally dawned on me that it would be perfect in the library. The reason the Aunt Olga didn’t have a home was because of the colors.

Now, how about a fancy box. The box that the library will be in is a box that I made with simple wood pieces for Michael’s. It consists of two pine rectangular panels 11×14 and 11/16″ thick by ArtMinds and four 12 x12 wood boards, my Powershot that uses brad nails and staples and some wood glue.
I used General Finishes Rosewood stain for the color. This also took 3 coats of Polyacrylic topcoat.
On to the next part.

Good start to your Library Roni. I look forward to watching it progress and finally providing a perfect setting for your Aunt Olga.
